Marketing/brand and video designer for award-winning author Elif Shafak.
Worked on video design, digital creative, promotional items, and advertising campaigns, from concept to execution, for her new novel The Island of Missing Trees. I worked on both pre-pub and post-pub campaigns, adjusting the designs according to the book stage to increase brand awareness.
For all these I was in charge of the marketing design direction and maintenance of a consistent brand, style, and art direction across every marketing and publicity campaign. 

Below there are the different (and my personal favorite) parts of these campaigns showcasing examples for each series.

target in-store video

We partnered with Target and we planned a display of a promo video for all targets with bookstore section around the country. We did this campaign for several of Bloomsbury's titles. I designed the videos, and I was also in charge of choosing the music and vibe that would match the book's theme, and I prepared files to deliver to Target. Below you can see the Target video for The Island of Missing Trees.

print & digital ad campaigns

I worked on several forms of advertising for Bloomsbury's authors, including large scale print billboards and bus shelters displayed in different cities, in-store displays, ads displayed on digital media platforms (pre-pub and post-pub), or print (and online) magazines or newspapers.

For Elif Shafak, I oversaw the design concept of all digital and print ad campaigns. I made sure there was a consistency across all of them. These campaigns generated 400.000+ impressions, and we collaborated with media outlets like Ingram (print), GoodReads, and Division D  cross-platform, to successfully bring campaigns to life. Samples are showcased below.

wrapping paper (promotional/preorder materials)

As part of the preorder promotion, I designed a wrapping paper matching the book cover art direction. We wanted to have a wrapping paper to wrap the book for book preorders and special editions. The goal was to add a special/fancy feature for those who made those preorders, increasing book awareness and preorder sales.

#cursebreaker hashtag campaign

We created, planned and executed the #cursebreaker hashtag in order to generate more buzz and attract readers for Brigid Kemmerer's Cursebreaker series and to allow people to "join the team" and receive latest news, preorder materials, read along events, and special gifts. I was in charge of the design concept, coming up with the color palette, videos and graphics to use across social media.

Ads for Amazon book pages

Designed the ads for Brigid Kemmerer's books pages displayed in Amazon. The purpose of these ads was to create a short visual synopsis that would make people want to buy the book.

animated cover for social media advertising

I designed the animated cover for this title. The goal of the video was to attract and increase the number of potential readers and increase awareness for the book, part of pre-pub and post-pub campaigns. The video matches the book theme and vibe. The concept came from the idea of an animated cover that integrated the art of the cover into a real scenario, to make it look more "alive."

facebook ads

We scheduled a facebook ad campaign to run for the pre publication of the book (in all three sizes).  I designed simple and clean ads following the theme of the book, making sure Reese Whitherspoon's name was highlighted to catch people's attention.
